   - Soak urad dal in water for 4-5 hours or overnight.

   - Drain the water and grind the dal into a smooth paste, adding a little water if necessary.

   - Add finely chopped green chilies, grated ginger, asafoetida, and salt to the batter. Mix well.

 

2. **Fry the Wadas:**

   - Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.

   - Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.

   - Remove the wadas and drain on paper towels.

 

3. **Prepare the Yogurt Mixture:**

   - In a bowl, whisk the yogurt until smooth.

   - Add sugar and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
